Notice for Applicants for Russian Visa
General requirements:
1. Completed application form.
2. Valid passport & copies of its vital pages.
3. Chinese citizens: copy of identification card (Taiwanese: PRS travel permit & copies of its vital pages). Foreigners: Chinese valid visa or residence permit & its copy.
4. One passport-size photo.
According to the purpose of visit it is necessary to provide documents as follows:
Business, "Scientific & Technical relations", "Cultural relations", "Sport relations", "Negotiations", "Technical service" visa, etc.
5. Invitation issued by the Russian bodies of Internal Affairs or Foreign Affairs (original form).
6. Invitation issued by the inviting company in Russia (original form).
7. Copy of the inviting company's business license.
8. Letter issued by the sending company (original form).
9. Business license of the sending company (original form & its copy).
Working visa
5. Invitation issued by the Russian bodies of Internal Affairs (original form).
6. Invitation issued by the inviting company in Russia (original form).
7. Copy of the inviting company's business license.
8. Labour permission issued by the Russian migration authorities (original form & its copy). "Foreign employee" visa: Accreditation card issued by the foreign company or representation registered in Russia (original form & its copy).
9. Certificate of health examination for international traveler (original form & its copy).
Studying visa
5. Invitation issued by the Russian bodies of Internal Affairs (original form).
6. Invitation issued by the Russian inviting institute (university) (original form).
7. Copy of the studying contract signed with the inviting institute (university).
8. Bank statement as a proof of the applicant's solvency (original form).
9. School-leaving certificate (original form & its notary attested copy).
10. Certificate of health examination for international traveler (original form & its copy).
Private visa
5. Invitation issued by the Russian bodies of Internal Affairs (original form).
6. Notary attested invitation from the sponsor in Russia (original form).
7. Russian sponsor: copies of the passport's vital pages. Foreign sponsor: copies of the passport's vital pages & residence permit.
Tourist visa
5. Tourist voucher issued by an authorized Russian or foreign travel agency (original form & its copy).
6. Tour conformation issued by an authorized Russian travel agency (original form & its copy).
Transit visa
5. Visa issued by the third country & its copy.
6. Transportation tickets for whole route & its copies.
Important notices:
1. In case the Visa Section does not issue the visa, excepting passport, Certificate of health examination for international traveler, school-leaving certificate, business license of the sending company, the other submitted documents & visa fee are not given back.
2. Available air or railway tickets can not be a reason for visa issue.
3. If stay in Russia exceeds three months, it is necessary to provide AIDS testing report.
4. The Visa Section is authorized to request any supplementary documents & information concerning the application.
5. For applicants traveling as a group the complete set of documents should be provided by each person.
6. Applicants from "Schengen zone" should provide valid in Russia medical insurance.
